We'll miss you, Monty.

Some of you may or may not know about Monty Oum and his passing, regardless this is my small tribute to him. For those who don't know, he was an animator that created the Haloid and Dead Fantasy series some years ago. He was hired to Rooster Teeth some years ago and he completely revolutionized their show Red Vs. Blue by adding animation. His baby is RWBY, an anime-esque webshow that came out in 2013. He passed yesterday and the news was brought to the public today.

I remember exactly how I first learned about Monty. I discovered Rooster Teeth back in 2012, but I was only really into Achievement Hunter. I wanted to learn more about the people and the company. In January 2013, I chose a random RT podcast episode on YouTube, episode 191. That is actually the last podcast Monty was on as a host. They were talking about RWBY and whatnot. I saw for myself how awesome and funny Monty was, and discovered what RWBY was. I drew him here as he appears in that podcast.

Overall, he was just such an awesome person. He didn't appear in many videos and such, but when he did he was great. I followed him on twitter and almost everything he said was inspiring or hilarious. 

It's difficult just for me- a random fan- to talk about how I feel about this. I cannot even fathom the grief his friends, family, and the people of Rooster Teeth must feel. My heart goes out to them. He left far too young.
